Several Holy Cross students had their artwork accepted for the ARTSWorcester Eighth Annual Colleges of Worcester Consortium Art Exhibition. Special congratulations goes to Lauren Wright, '11 who received a second place award for her sculpture, “Expose" and Michael Auth, '13 who received an honorable mention for his photo, “Pomegranate #3.” The works are on display at the Aurora Gallery in Worcester February 3, 2012 - March 1, 2012.

Congratualtions to Cory Mims '11, Wilza Jean '11 and Keiran Padgett '11 for their acheivements in the ARTSWorcester Seventh Annual Colleges of Worcester Consortium Art Exhibition. Now showing February 4th through March 3rd, 2011 at the Aurora Gallery in Worcester,MA.

Three Holy Cross students took home honorable mentions, while Nora Happny '10 won first place prize in the sixth annual Colleges of Worcester Consortium Arts Show at ARTSWorcester's Aurora Gallery. Laura Anthony '10, "Target City" (Mixed Media); Thanh Nguyen '10, "The Protector" (Sculpture); Kendra Smith '10, "Breakfast" (Mixed Media) all received honorable mentions. David Gyscek '96, studio arts coordinator and lecturer in the visual arts department, challenged students in his Bodies in Context introductory photography course to capture images depicting hardship and resilience during the Great Recession.

Mary Kate O’Keefe ’11, a visual arts studio major with a double minor in French and art history, will be studying at the University of Burgundy in Dijon, France. Art will be a focal point of O'Keefe's studies and travels. She will document the entire experience in two media: sketch and photography. She will share some of her experiences and artwork in a blog.
