Chamber Players

The Holy Cross Chamber Players, founded in 1985, is a mixed ensemble consisting of members of the Holy Cross Music Department faculty and distinguished guest artists from the Boston area. The uniqueness of the ensemble lies in the versatility and virtuosity of its players, whose stylistic performances range from baroque chamber music performed on period instruments to contemporary music. The Holy Cross Chamber Players includes two resident composers, and is dedicated to performing new and familiar chamber music masterpieces spanning four centuries.

"This was polished music making that came across with plenty of verve and affection."

Worcester Telegram & Gazette

"...last night's presentation showed that the art form [contemporary music] can also have a soul and inner beauty to it.  And the Holy Cross Chamber Players...brought a commitment that made the music resound with a convincing seriousness and purpose."
