Language Placement Exams

Placement exams for French, German, Italian and Spanish are given to students on-line through the Moodle Learning Management System. They should be taken by all students who want to continue studying a language they started in high school.  In addition, students who have studied French or Spanish in high school will not be allowed to enroll in Elementary I (101) courses.

Students who have taken AP Exams and received a score of 4 or 5 DO NOT have to take this exam.  They will receive credit for Intermediate 2 (202) and should enroll in Composition and Conversation (301).

Students are encouraged to enroll in a language course as soon as possible after taking this exam so that their score best represents what they have learned in high school.
