Community-Based Learning for Students
The Donelan Office of Community-Based Learning facilitates opportunities for students to connect academic learning with civic engagement. Students enrolled in community-based learning courses extend their learning beyond the classroom through service and research projects that benefit our partner organizations in Worcester. These courses can be found in most academic departments, concentrations, and programs of the Center for Interdisciplinary and Special Studies. Community-based learning courses require a weekly commitment, for a total of 15-25 hours per semester. Read more about community-based learning.
Current students can learn more about the CBL Placement Selection Process and access forms through our website.
Students who have taken a community-based learning course and would like to further develop their civic engagement, can learn more about the CBL Scholars Program and the Non Profit Careers Conference through our website.
