Community Based Learning for Students

The Donelan Office of Community Based Learning facilitates opportunities for students to connect academic learning with civic engagement.  Students enrolled in community based learning courses extend their learning beyond the classroom through service and research projects that benefit our partner organizations in Worcester.  These courses can be found in most academic departments, concentrations, and programs of the Center for Interdisciplinary and Special Studies.  Community based learning courses require a weekly commitment, for a total of 15-25 hours per semester.

Students who are interested in Community Based Learning can use this website to learn about present and past courses and projects, as well as read about other student’s experiences.

Current students enrolled in a Community Based Learning course can access forms and other resources.
