  • The members of the department are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Professor Emeritus Banadakoppa T. Lingappa. Lin, as he was affectionately known, died while visiting India. A tribute to Professor Lingappa, given on his retirement from teaching in 1995 and written by Professor G. R. Hoffmann will be found here. (posted Feb 25, 2010, revised March 5)
  • Senior Ema Blumhagen was awarded a grant of $3,750 by the Jurassic Foundation to 3D laser scan fossil birds and dinosaurs at the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology in Beijing, China, this March. Ema is a directed research student with Professor Leon Claessens.
